The closed loop system market is getting busier and busier; however ViCentra is hoping that its Kaleido system, one of the smallest pumps available, will be differentiated enough to secure market share.

ViCentra, the Netherlands-based manufacturer of one of the world’s smallest commercially available insulin pumps, Kaleido, has launched its first hybrid closed loop package in partnership with Diabeloop.

It features three components: ViCentra’s Kaleido; Dexcom’s G6 continuous glucose monitor; and Diabeloop’s DBLG1 algorithm.
