McKesson acquisition of Automated Healthcare expands wholesaler's automated distribution.

MCKESSON ACQUIRING AUTOMATED HEALTHCARE, INC. FOR $65 MIL. in cash, giving the wholesaler access to AHI's automated pharmaceutical dispensing systems. The agreement, announced April 10, is expected to close before the end of the month, McKesson said. The announcement came two months after Cardinal Health announced its acquisition of the hospital pharmacy automation company Pyxis ("The Pink Sheet" Feb. 12, p. 19).
