Budget Agreement Includes $40 Bil. For Rx Benefit; Sept. 1 Deadline Dropped

The final budget resolution passed by the House and Senate April 13 does not include an earlier Senate provision that would have required the Finance Committee to report out Medicare drug benefit legislation by Sept. 1.
