FDA regulatory counsel
Center for Drug Evaluation & Research is recruiting a second regulatory counsel for the Division of Drug Marketing, Advertising & Communications. FDA's ad division said it requires additional legal counsel in order to support enforcement actions responding to the entire marketplace, including exhibit hall and Internet promotion. The Bush Administration's hiring freeze will temporarily prevent FDA from completing the hire. FDA is not currently looking to fill the ad division's deputy director position, which has remained vacant since Tom Abrams became permanent director of the division in February 2000 (1"The Pink Sheet" Feb. 21, 2000, p. 29)
