Javenlin hires former FDA director

Former FDA Anesthetics, Analgesics & Drug Abuse Division Deputy Director Curtis Wright becomes VP of risk management and regulatory affairs at Javenlin effective immediately. In the newly created post, Wright will oversee health risk assessments, with a focus on abuse associated with pain products, which the company characterized as a growing regulatory concern. Wright will provide risk management oversight for Javenlin's three pain candidates in Phase II development.
