Teva Reorganizes With Emphasis On Strengthening Generics

Former Actavis Pharma President Olafsson has been appointed president and CEO of the newly formed Global Generic Medicines Group, which will consolidate Teva’s regional generic businesses under one group.

Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. revealed a new commercial structure June 2 in line with CEO Erez Vigodman’s promise to investors to strengthen the company’s position in generic drugs. The reorganization will establish a new Global Generic Medicines group to be led by former Actavis Pharma President Sigurdur Olafsson.
