Rx Spending Growth Won’t Exceed 8% In Coming Years – Express Scripts

Growth slowed from double digits in 2014 to 5% in 2015, according to PBM’s annual Drug Trend Report.

Drug spending by Express Scripts Holding Co’s payer clients grew 5.2% in 2015 – roughly half the rate seen in 2014 – and is not expected to exceed 8% annually over the next few years, according to the pharmacy benefit manager’s annual Drug Trend Report, released March 14.
