Drug Price Control Proposals Pared Down In Democrats’ Draft Platform

Draft includes only a selection of price control policies that have been offered by presumptive nominee Hillary Clinton and candidate Sen. Bernie Sanders on the campaign trail.

The draft 2016 Democratic party platform includes a pared down set of policy proposals for lowering prescription drug pricing compared to the campaign proposal released by presumptive presidential nominee Hillary Clinton last fall.

The draft platform picks up some of the key drug price control proposals advanced by both Clinton and Sen. Bernie Sanders, D-VT, but it does not appear to endorse others....
