Woodcock, currently director of FDA's Center for Biologics Evaluation & Research's Office of Therapeutics Research and Review, was selected from a short list of candidates for the Center for Drug Evaluation & Research post submitted by a search committee to Deputy Commissioner for Operations Jane Henney, MD, in early November.
