VITAMIN SPECIALTIES' ACQUISITION OF JASON PHARMACEUTICALS puts the Wyncote, Pa.-based dietary supplement retailer and manufacturer on target to generate 1995 sales in the $18-20 mil. range, Vitamin Specialties said. Vitamin Specialties announced Oct. 4 that it has entered an agreement in principle to acquire the privately held Jason Pharmaceuticals, a Baltimore-based developer, manufacturer and distributor of weight management and medical nutritional products marketed under the Medifast name.
