Cholestin Red Yeast Rice Reduces Cholesterol By 16%, 19% In Two Trials

Two clinical trials on red yeast rice, the primary ingredient in Pharmanex' cholesterol-lowering dietary supplement Cholestin, showed 16.4% and 19% reductions in LDL cholesterol levels after eight weeks, researchers reported at the American Heart Association epidemiology and prevention annual conference March 25. Both studies were sponsored by Pharmanex.
