Iberogast combination supplement, said to be the "number-one selling natural product for the digestive system in Germany," launches nationwide in U.S. health food stores. The firm's PhytoPharmica division will offer the liquid product to health care professionals as well. Iberogast contains extracts of clown's mustard plant, chamomile flower, caraway, melissa leaf, peppermint leaf, celandine herb and licorice root to "aid in the mechanical process of digestion and support a normal resting tone for the musculature of the stomach and intestines," the Green Bay, Wis.-based firm says.
