Folic Acid Awareness Campaign Supported By $20 Mil. Proposed In House Bill

A national folic acid education program to prevent birth defects would receive $20 mil. in FY 2000 funding and annual sums "as may be necessary" in fiscal 2001 through 2004 under a bill introduced in the House July 15.
