FDA Extends Sunscreen Monograph Implementation Date To December 2002

The effective date of the OTC sunscreen final monograph will be extended by FDA for a year-and-a-half until Dec. 31, 2002, following a request from the Cosmetic, Toiletry & Fragrance Association, the agency says in an Oct. 1 letter to the trade group.
