Advil for migraines?

Whitehall-Robins is seeking FDA approval of a migraine indication for the ibuprofen analgesic. In October, the agency approved Bristol-Myers Squibb's supplemental NDA for a full migraine syndrome indication for Excedrin Migraine (1"The Tan Sheet" Oct. 11, 1999, p. 3). Excedrin Migraine, containing acetaminophen, aspirin and caffeine, was approved for migraine pain treatment in January 1998. If approved, Advil would be only the second OTC analgesic to carry a migraine claim
