Genomma Lab Internacional SAB de CV dropped its unsolicited bid to take over Prestige Brands Holdings Inc. despite obtaining funding and meeting other significant milestones to secure the deal.

The May 3 announcement that Genomma was unwilling to meet Prestige’s demand for a higher price caused PBH’s stock price to fall 17.5% by late Friday afternoon from $16.43 per share before the announcement to $13.54
