CRN Asks FDA To Stop Enforcement Against Synthetic Botanicals

FDA’s position “is neither scientifically justified, logical nor in the interest of the public health,” CRN argues, asking FDA to reverse its position on synthetic botanicals outside the agency’s revision of the NDI draft guidance.

The Council for Responsible Nutrition urges FDA to reverse its position that synthetic versions of botanical constituents cannot be dietary ingredients and says the agency’s enforcement against synthetic botanicals is “irrevocably damaging commerce, innovation and investment” in the supplement industry.
