[Vitamin Shoppe Inc.] expands its foothold in the Pacific Northwest U.S. with the acquisition of Seattle-based Super Supplements Inc. for $50 million, the North Bergen, N.J., based firm announced Dec. 17. The deal, which is expected to close Dec. 31 pending customary closing conditions, adds 31 stores to Vitamin Shoppe’s existing 17 stores in Washington, Oregon and Idaho. Vitamin Shoppe expects the deal will contribute $75 million in revenue in 2013 and a neutral or slightly positive impact on earnings per share.
