The US FDA would be forced to slow its hiring this fiscal year if budget cuts suggested by the White House are implemented.

The agency would incur a $40m reduction from its Salaries and Expenses account in budget authority (non-user fee dollars), compared to the total in the FY 2017 Continuing Resolution enacted in December.
