The US brand industry's leading trade organization wants mandatory and ongoing prescriber training on opioid issues and is investing in state and local programs to fight the epidemic.

The Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers of America announced Dec. 12 that it is establishing a partnership with the Addiction Policy Forum to support prevention initiatives, an online addiction resource center, public-private partnerships, and new health system tools
