Opioid Litigation: US DOJ Intensifies Pressure On Sponsors With New Task Force

The US Department of Justice is the latest government agency to take aim at opioid makers and distributors as it launches a new task force to pursue enforcement actions against companies for unlawful practices.

Attorney General Jeff Sessions announced the formation of the Prescription Interdiction & Litigation (PIL) Task Force on Feb. 27 saying it is intended to fight the prescription opioid crisis.
