India has notified of new draft rules pertaining to the sale of drugs by e-pharmacies, including specifics around plans for “transaction audits” of such pharmacies.
The latest notification, which mostly broadly mirrors the norms set out in the previous draft on the subject, now stipulates that the Central or State Licencing Authority may “at any time” direct an e-pharmacy registration holder to provide prescriptions on the basis of which the drugs have been dispensed, for the purpose of the transaction audit
