Opioid Litigation Pushes American Pain Society Into Bankruptcy

American Pain Society files for bankruptcy as it faces mounting opioid legal costs

The American Pain Society, publisher of The Journal of Pain, was caught up in the crush of US litigation against opioid manufacturers and paid a heavy cost. The organization filed for bankruptcy on 28 June and ceased operations soon after.
