The US Food and Drug Administration is mandating the maker of the erectile disfunction drug Stendra run corrective messages on the adult websites where it had advertised after making misleading claims about the product's efficacy and safety.
Two of the Internet banner ads for Metuchen Pharmaceuticals LLC's Stendra (avanafil) made efficacy claims, including "Get hard and stay hard" and "Indulge in life's sweetest pleasures whenever you want," but provided no risk information, which the FDA's Office of Prescription Drug Promotion said was misleading about the product's safety.
