EU Offers Flexibilities On GB Exports To Selected Countries

The UK government says it will begin a consultation on a future falsified medicines scheme for Great Britain within a year after the passage of new legislation on medicines and medical devices. Moves are also under way to ensure the smooth supply of medicines from GB to Cyprus, Ireland, Malta and Northern Ireland.

A bill that will allow the creation of a new system for detecting falsified medicines in the supply chain in Great Britain is in the final stages of its passage through the UK parliamentary system. The resulting legislation would also make it easier to introduce changes in key areas of medicines regulation.
