South Korea's ambitions of becoming a global vaccine hub appear to have moved closer with the World Health Organization’s selection of the country as the location for a worldwide center for training in the area of biomanufacturing.

“The government’s goal to become the world’s top five vaccine nation and a leading biopharma country is becoming a reality,” declared South Korean President Jae-In Moon. “This will provide an opportunity for young Korean people to access world-class education and form global networks
