On 6 March, the US Senate Committee on Homeland Security and Government Affairs voted in favor of advancing a bill restricting US government contracts and grants for services provided by “companies of concern,” as US congressional delegates from both sides of the aisle move to limit what is seen as growing Chinese influence in the country.
