MARY KAY DEVELOPING ALTERNATIVE METHOD TO ANIMAL TESTING in conjunction with Boulder, CO-based Xenometrix, the direct-sales cosmetic company announced July 26. The new method, which is an in vitro skin irritation test, "will allow researchers to determine if a new compound is inflammatory or irritating to human skin cells," without testing on animals, Mary Kay Cosmetics explained.
