Consumer Reports' best soaps: November issue of the consumer guide rates Dial Corp's Dove, Caress and Tone as the top three bar soaps on the market out of a total of 28 soaps rated. Dove and Caress rated "excellent" for skin cleaning and "good" for skin feel, while Tone was judged "very good" in both categories. The report also points out that on a price-per-wash basis, "fancy soaps," such as Estee Lauder's Clinique facial soap and Unilever's Elizabeth Arden Spa soap, cost "at least seven times as much" as "ordinary" bar soaps...
