L'Oreal sues Revlon for infringing mascara brush and cosmetics applicator patents.

L'OREAL CHARGES REVLON WITH PATENT INFRINGEMENT FOR MASCARA BRUSH and a "spill preventing cosmetic applicator" in two lawsuits recently filed in Manhattan District Court. In the cosmetic applicator suit, L'Oreal charges Revlon Consumer Products and Revlon's Almay subsidiary with "knowingly and willfully...using, offering to sell and selling" as well as importing into the U.S. an applicator assembly which uses L'Oreal's invention. The suit also charges the co-defendants with "induc[ing] others" to do the same. The spill preventing cosmetic applicator patent (5,324,128) was issued June 28, 1994.
