ULTRA BRITE ADVANCED WHITENING ONE OF "BEST ALL-AROUND" TOOTHPASTES, and at less than 50 [cents] per month, was judged a CR "Best Buy," Consumer Reports concludes in its August issue. Ultra Brite is marketed by Colgate-Palmolive. In a ratings study on 38 dentifrices, other CR top picks include Colgate Baking Soda & Peroxide Whitening with Tartar Control, at 75 [cents] per month, and Crest Extra Whitening with Tartar Protection, at 97 [cents] per month for consumer use. Both products "offer tartar control at reasonable cost," CR says.
