Gillette's Hawley Assumes CEO Post As Zeien Retires
Gillette President and Chief Operating Officer Michael Hawley assumes the helm as chairman and CEO as Alfred Zeien steps down April 15, Gillette announced in a conference call Feb. 18. There are not immediate plans to conduct a search for a new COO; Gillette's four exec VPs will continue to report to Hawley. Zeien indicated his intention to retire to several associates on Feb. 16, and the board approved the action two days later.
