Physicians Formula To Halt "Made In USA" Claims Under FTC Settlement

Physicians Formula Cosmetics has agreed to settle charges that "Made in USA" claims on product labeling are "false and misleading," the Federal Trade Commission announced Sept. 13. The Azusa, Calif.-based firm placed "Made in USA" claims on some of its cosmetics, cosmetic brushes and skin care products when, in fact, they were actually manufactured with significant Korean components or labor, FTC said.
