Prescriptives is positioning Px Custom Concentrates as a line that addresses four "key" skin care concerns among women, the Estee Lauder division said.

Developed with the expertise of dermatologist and brand spokesperson Karyn Grossman, MD, the line features four products formulated to treat lines and wrinkles, discoloration, redness and irritation and acne. Women can use the products individually or layer them to address multiple concerns, Prescriptives added.

Skin Renewal Cream diminishes the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles with a combination of retinol, which improves cell turnover, as well as oligopeptide for collagen production and siegesbeckia to prevent collagen breakdown, the firm claims.

Skin Tone Correcting Serum prevents the appearance of dark spots and skin discoloration with a combination of vitamin C, mulberry root and grape extracts, Prescriptives noted. The formula also contains glucosamine to promote exfoliation and melannite to break down the appearance of dark spots, the company added.

Redness Relief Gel provides "calming relief to red, irritated skin," according to Prescriptives. A patented Anti-Red Complex helps "neutralize" the appearance of irritated skin, while hyaluronic acid "locks in" moisture, the company said.

Acne Defense Serum prevents acne with a formula featuring salicyclic acid as well as hinokitiol, which purifies skin, natural algae extract to reduce excess oil buildup and green tea and oat extract to decrease redness and irritation, Prescriptives claims.

Px Custom Concentrates will debut in March at Prescrip-tives counters nationwide. The cream will retail for $60, while Skin Tone Correcting Serum and Redness Relief Gel will cost $50 each and the Acne Defense Serum will retail for $25.

Prescriptives also will introduce Moonbeam Reflective Gloss in February. Inspired by brand color designer Poppy King's visit to a planetarium, the formula is based on a new pigment technology that "enhances the light reflective qualities" of the gloss, creating a "super shiny look with incredible texture," the firm claims. The gloss will come in 10 shades, with names such as Lunar, Deep Space and Hi-Velocity, for $17.50.
