Coty Beauty U.S. President John Galantic has been named president and chief operating officer of Chanel, luxury firm announces Oct. 31. In his new role, Galantic will be responsible for all activities in the U.S. market including beauty, fragrance and fashion, firm says. The exec will report to Global CEO Maureen Chiquet. Galantic became the head of the U.S. division of Coty in 2001, responsible for developing and expanding the firm's U.S. mass market fragrance, cosmetics and toiletries businesses (1"The Rose Sheet" Nov. 5, 2001, p. 3).
