P&G Commits To No Deforestation For Palm Oil Post-Greenpeace Report

Following a Greenpeace report accusing P&G of greenwashing its operations and contributing to ecological ills with its palm-oil sourcing, the Cincinnati-based firm commits to achieving “no deforestation” in its supply chain by 2020. P&G expects plans from suppliers by the end of 2015 and will begin working with small local farmers in the interim to bring their practices up to the new “unequivocal” standards.
