Study Projecting Rise In Animal Tests Casts Pall On Safe Cosmetics Act

Results of a new study suggest that if enacted, the Safe Cosmetics and Personal Care Products Act would require a dramatic increase in animal testing in the United States. Bill sponsor Representative Jan Schakowsky told “The Rose Sheet” that she is “a vigorous opponent of animal testing” and does not want animal testing as an unanticipated consequence of the legislation.
