The European Commission puts forth proposal amending the Cosmetics Regulation to ban three fragrance allergens while adding other allergens to a list of substances that must be identified on product labeling. Proposal could lead to costly reformulations and relabeling for fragrance products and cosmetics containing fragrance sold in Europe.
