Bipartisan Support Could Propel U.S. Bill To Ban Cosmetic Animal Testing

A bipartisan bill introduced in the House would ban animal testing of cosmetics and cosmetic ingredients in the U.S. one year after the bill becomes law, and the sale of cosmetic products tested on animals within three years after enactment. Animal-rights groups applauded the measure.

With support from both sides of the aisle, the Humane Cosmetics Act could have a better chance of advancing in Congress than previous attempts to ban cosmetic animal testing in the U.S.
