Prop 65 Problems Are Deeper Than Rulemaking Can Solve – ACC

The American Chemistry Council is convinced that the answer to Prop 65's failings is not likely to be found in further regulatory proposals from California's Office of Environmental Health Hazard Assessment. The legislative foundation itself is the problem, the trade group asserts in its latest comments to the agency.

Following stakeholder workshops, a pre-regulation proposal and multiple proposed regulations over the past two years, the American Chemistry Council has resigned itself to the reality that statutory changes are likely the only hope for "fixing" California's Prop 65.
