ICCR Publishes Cosmetic Preservatives FAQ To Raise Public Awareness

Recognizing "a general lack of awareness regarding the important role preservatives have in cosmetic products and the potential impact on public health should they be absent," the International Cooperation on Cosmetic Regulation publishes a two-part Frequently Asked Questions document summarizing the issue for consumers and a more technical audience.

The International Cooperation on Cosmetics Regulation has published a Frequently Asked Questions document explaining preservatives' function in cosmetics in lay terms and underscoring the need for a "wide array" of preservative options to ensure safe product use.

ICCR member-regulators from the US, EU, Canada, Japan and Brazil now are free to disseminate the information to the public
