California DTSC Seeks Nail Chemical Info With Priority Product Picks Looming

Politically and procedurally, signs point to the selection of nail care containing one of California Department of Toxic Substances Control’s listed Candidate Chemicals as a next-round Priority Product under the state’s Safer Consumer Products Program. Nail-product manufacturers have been put on notice, asked to provide DTSC with information on chemical hazard traits and potentially viable alternative ingredients.
