Coffee Product Percolates On FDA's Spiked Supplement Import Radar

FDA in a June 1 consumer alert says DR’s Secret Bio Herbs Coffee, promoted for restoring energy and improving the immune system, was detained by agency officials during an examination of international mail shipments.

A Malaysian import, DR’s Secret Bio Herbs Coffee, crosses regulatory lines in a recently emerging compliance issue, spiked supplements delivered in international mail, and a not-so-recent issue, coffee products making drug claims.
