Cosmetics Europe Addresses Calls For UN Global Animal-Testing Ban

"Five years on, animal testing for cosmetics is well and truly a thing of the past in the EU. The same cannot yet be said of the challenges the ban bequeathed to us," says Cosmetics Europe Director General John Chave in a blog post responding to calls for a United Nations convention to ban cosmetic animal testing worldwide.

Cosmetics Europe wants it to be known that industry continues to face challenges under the EU's five-year-old animal-testing ban, contrary to views in Parliament that are driving calls for a global end to the practice.
