Safety Concerns Are US FDA's Answer To Question On Regulatory Pathway For Hemp’s Lawful Use

US Food and Drug Administration officials repeatedly advised the agency’s Science Board on 14 June that the panel wasn’t being asked for recommendations on allowing lawful use of hemp ingredients in non-drug products subject to FDA regulation.

It also would establish regulatory structure for using cannabinoids found naturally in hemp and allowing “semi-synthetic” ingredients while prohibiting artificial or fully synthetic cannabinoids.
