President Obama takes aim at prescription drug spending under deficit reduction plan

President Barack Obama on 13 April said he plans to cut $340 billion over the next decade from Medicare and Medicaid, trimming $480 billion by 2023 and at least an additional $1 trillion in the subsequent decade, as part of his plan to slash $4 trillion from the federal deficit.
