Caris Life Sciences names new CSO

Caris Life Sciences, which develops personalized medicines techniques, has appointed Dr Joachim Schorr chief scientific officer. Dr Schorr has acted as a consultant to Irving, Texas- based Caris for the past year. Prior to joining the firm Dr Schorr served most recently as senior vice-president, global R&D, and Managing Director at Qiagen, until April 2012. In addition to his expanded role as CSO for Caris, he will continue to serve as a scientific consultant for Qiagen.
