Indonesia is one of the least attractive pharma markets in Asia, with multinational companies facing major obstacles due to government restrictions and lack of transparency. Deficiencies in patent protection and a sizeable counterfeit industry make the situation even grimmer there. International Pharmaceutical Manufacturers' Group Executive Director Parulian Simanjuntak talked with PharmAsia News about the regulations that are putting a stranglehold on manufacturers in Indonesia and MNCs that might otherwise be thinking about entering Indonesia.
