Philippines drug maker United Laboratories has expanded beyond its borders to 10 Asian nations.

United Laboratories, a Philippines drug maker, has expanded beyond its borders to 10 Asian nations where it has a presence. One of the nation’s with a Unilab presence is Myanmar where the country manager also is vice president of the firm’s International Operations Division. Aristotle Dimitui, who joined Unilab in 1993, said in an interview he set up United Pharmaceutical in Myanmar with four branded products, including its leading paracetamol-based drugs Alaxan for pain relief and Decolgen for colds and influenza. Myanmar is the second-largest nation in Asia, but Dimitui said penetrating a country largely isolated from the rest of the world relied on the trust he built with local physicians to gain acceptance.
