Abbott Laboratories reportedly plans to buy a Russian production facility in a deal that could rank as the nation's third largest pharmaceutical acquisition. A government official said Abbott had applied to acquire NPO Petrovax Pharm LLC, a non-government organization, making Abbott the first U.S. pharma to own a production plant in Russia.
